7 People I’d Like to Meet

Every now and again, I wonder what it would be like to talk to certain people, and just have a general conversation with them. Mostly this is just people I look up to, but then sometimes I wonder what it’d be like to talk to some more… random-seeming choices, for a broader range of reasons. I thought today I’d share some of these with you, because, well, why not?

Disclaimer: Yes, some of these people are dead. I still wonder what it would be like to meet them.

1) JK Rowling

The woman who needs no introduction. As someone who wants to write books and have them successfully published, to me she is pretty much like the ultimate wisdom. So many questions I could ask her. Plus, I honestly just respect her as a person – she has no problem shutting down trolls, she’s been through the rough and the good, and she just seems genuinely inspirational.

2) Jim Chapman

In case any of you don’t know, Jim Chapman is a YouTuber. I’ve watched his videos for a good few years now, and he’s just such a positive, happy, genuine person. His vlogs are always just so full of life and smiles and care, it just always makes my day better. There’s no particular one topic I’d want to talk to him about, just generally talking to him would be cool.

3) William the Conqueror

Here comes a random one! Except it’s not really that random to me. I learned about him and the 1066 Battle of Hastings etc in 2014/15, and WtC was a pretty awesome person. He managed some hefty feats – like being the first person to transport horses on ships, because he wanted to take those horses to England, and no-one was going to tell him he couldn’t. I could go into much depth of detail about why I’d like to have a conversation with him, but it would involve probably another entire coursework-length essay.

4) William Shakespeare.

Another dead William! Can you imagine being able to have a conversation with Shakespeare, though? Or spending a day with him and watching his writing process… He was a complete genius in his works, and I just feel like he’d be such an interesting person (or a complete arse, but probably a mixture of both).

5) Jennifer Lawrence

I feel like most people wouldn’t object to meeting Jennifer Lawrence. She’s just awesome. If you don’t believe me, watch an interview with her.

6) Obama

As a Brit, I often look over at America, and I think there are a lot of good things and a whole load of bad things about their country. But I also think Obama has done a huge amount of good things as President, and gets way more US hate than necessary. I’m gonna miss that guy when he goes.

(Please don’t vote Trump in, America.)

7) Demi Lovato

What can I say, I admire strong women. Demi Lovato is probably one of the strongest female icons out there at the moment who manages to be a role model for all ages. I like what she stands for and how she goes about standing for it.

So there you have it, 7 people I’d like to meet, bearing in mind that if I thought I could have written a list of all the people I’d like to meet without boring you, it would be many times longer. I could probably add categories, no joke. I could go full comprehensive. But anyway, I figured 7 was a good number for a blog post.

Who would you like to meet and have a conversation with, dead or alive?
